The project
The Stadsschouwburg Kortrijk is a historic cultural venue dating from 1920 that is undergoing a comprehensive renovation and extension.
Located in the heart of Kortrijk, the project includes the thorough refurbishment of the existing theatre auditorium and two adjoining buildings. The redevelopment provides for a new reception area, a cultural café, a second theatre hall and dedicated spaces for staff and performers.
The design creates a contemporary, multifunctional cultural meeting place that will attract both local and international visitors.

Furnibo is responsible for the full structural works and renovation of the Stadsschouwburg Kortrijk.
Our scope includes the comprehensive construction and restoration of the complex, encompassing structural modifications, demolition works and new-build interventions. The technical execution requires a meticulous approach, ensuring that historic elements are carefully preserved while seamlessly integrating modern infrastructure.
We coordinate the works closely with the appointed architects and the relevant municipal authorities to guarantee a coherent and high-quality realisation.
